The first instrument collection for Music Fund in the UK on 11th July was a resounding success, with more than 100 instruments collected at Ronnie Scott's Jazz club, ranging from brand new unplayed instruments on the one hand, to a clarinet that has sat in a cupboard unplayed for more than 40 years. All will be assesed and those that are repairable will be sent around the UK and world to be played by a child or young person who needs it. This is Christian Betram, one of Music Fund's instrument repairers, assessing a donated guitar. We are very grateful to Ronnie Scott's for the organisation, hosting, and PR. We hope it will be the start of a longstanding productive relationship.
