A lorry loaded up with instruments and sheet music left London for Music Fund's warehouse and workshop in Belgium on 1st December 2017.

30 instruments, with a focus on jazz instruments, were donated as a result of an instrument collection day at the renowned Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London. These were supplemented with brand new sheet music donated by Faber Music Publishers and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

A special thanks are due to Jan Despiegelaere of the Streekfonds West-Vlaanderen (King Baudouin Foundation) who drove all the way from Kortrijk in Belgium to London (UK) to pick up and transport the consignment.

A priority destination for this consignment is Palestine where a number of jazz projects are being supported, including the hopeful inauguration of a Palestinian Jazz Festival in Ramalllah.
